Welcome to the Stallings Island Middle School Learning Commons! We are located on the 2nd floor of the school. The learning commons resources support the philosophy, goals, and instructional programs of Stallings Island Middle School. Our learning commons houses approximately 11,657 fiction and non-fiction titles!!!

OUR OBJECTIVE:
The Stallings Island Learning Common's main objective is to ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information. To achieve this goal, the learning commons makes a variety of materials available to all students.

HOURS OF OPERATION

The Learning Commons is open from 7:30-3:00 daily. 

SCHOOL STORE

The School Store is open from 7:30am - 3:00 pm daily. The school store offers a wide variety of pens, pencils, paper, folders, art and band supplies, & much more!

*Students must have a pass to shop during school hours.

CHECKING OUT A BOOK

Students may check out two books at a time for a two week period. However, they may not check out additional books if they have an overdue book. 

Lost items are the responsibility of the borrower. If you lose a library book, you are responsible for paying for the cost of the book and a non-refundable $1.00 barcode processing fee. If the book is ever found, you may return it for a refund. Should the book be found in a condition where it could no longer be checked out and enjoyed by other students, a refund will not be issued.

Damaged items are the responsibility of the borrower. If you damage a library book, you are responsible for paying for the cost of the book and a non-refundable $1.00 barcode processing fee. 

The student may not check out another book until the lost/damaged book is paid for.

*Reference books and magazines may NOT be checked out by students.
