Please view the above welcome to Tech Lab video link for the 2023/2024 school year. Open House will be Monday, July31, 2023 from 5:00-7:00 pm.

This class is a STEM class. Students will investigate the pathways for engineering and technology.   Students will work on projects individually, with a partner, or in groups.  This will help students develop leadership skills and work ethics within the classroom and lab environment.  Students will invent, design, construct, test, and evaluate different technological products.  In order to do this, students will use hot glue guns, sharp scissors, and other tools under strict supervision.  I will provide a folder for each student, however due to Covid 19 we can no longer share supplies.  Please come prepared each day with your own pencil, ruler, glue stick, scissors, colored pencils, and head phones with jack. Please look at each grade levels page located in the upper left hand corner. This will have current vocabulary words and other information updated as needed.  Students will also be learning about careers and creating an SLDS portfolio and updating it throughout their middle school years in order to prepare for highschool.

Thank you for allowing me to teach your awesome children. -Lindsay Webb

About Mrs. Webb:  I grew up in Columbia County and graduated from Lakeside High School.  I graduated with my bachelors degree from USC-Aiken with a major in sociology and a minor in criminal justice.  I also played basketball, soccer and ran cross country while there.  I was a social worker for Aiken County for ten years and then went back to school to get my Masters in teaching from Augusta University.  I have a husband and three very active children, several hunting dogs, and a little lap dog.  We love going to Clemson football games.  In my spare time, I help a local animal rescue group called Dog Networking Agents.  I also like to shop, travel, and spend time with my family.  This will be my 14th year teaching at SIMS.  GO REDHAWKS!!!
